Thing is, how are you going to convince 40 years of dedication & loyalty that what was once worshipped is now "second best". It will dramatically effect corprotae image and even worse, sales.
I think Porsche's next stage will be to "ween" people of the rear engine 911 dream. And direct them towards the successor.
Personally I can't wait to go back to a more mature and masculine Cayman.
