  1. Google maps on your BB? guess it will do fine, won't it?

  2. Notreally efficient because BB or even HTC HD screens are small. I want to be able to see the whole route. Say at the physical locatio I'm in to the final destination 200km.
If I zoom out too much I won't be able to read street/highway names and town names and if I zoom in I won't see an overview of my route.
The google maps on my BB will help to show my real time location.
This is assuming my BB (BIS) will work in SK. Technically it should because Etisalat confirmed there is a partnership w/ SK Telecom.
SK is not on GSM system, apparently their system is superior to GSM.

My worries are not w/ the BB nor with BIS or SK's telecommunications system. Worried about the part Etisalat is involved in.

  4. let them first be able to contact each other without calls dropping or internet speeds suddenly going form claimed 4mb to 28.8K modem with faulty wires.

  5. btw, did they come to your house to install the fiber optics?

  6. They came twice, once to install something on the inside parameters and once on the outside and now they have reached phase 3 which is installing it in our area. After this technically I should be able to upgrade to 8 or 16 mb.

  7. they never showed up in our area, I read somewhere a couple of months ago that they were intending to cover Abu Dhabi island by the end of August 2009, but it seems they are falling behind. I'll be upgrading to 16Mb as soon as they lay down the infrastructure in our area.
